Proofreading is one of the neccessary tasks to be performed when self-publishing, but it is not something anyone looks forward to doing. I know it's hard to read and reread the same material, you can go buggy before you're done.
If this is
a task you'd rather not do I certainly
understand why. I will gladly proofread your manuscript to remove those
mistakes in spelling and punctuation.
When an author proofreads their own writing they can only correct the things they know are wrong. With the English language being what it is with all the rules that make up the criteria for proper writing it is very easy to make a mistake and not know it.
for the newpaper I've seen all kinds of mistakes, most of which we
caught. Even with all those trained eyes reading the same stories and
ads, mistakes were missed
proofreading is on your list of things to do soon or if you've
read your manuscript over and over till you're blue in the face give me
a try. My rates are extrememly reasonable and I'm sure we can work
something out to fit in your budget.
